Brian Peterson - Dayton, MN

Fifteen minutes into fishing day one we hooked and landed a 300 lb blue marlin. The rest of the trip was filled with plenty of sailfish, and even a few dorado to bring home to Minnesota. Dan even loaned me some of his personal fishing gear to catch snook from the beach!
Dan and his wife Emma also arranged a four wheeler tour through the mountains, a canopy tour, and a crocodile safari for me. Overall an awesome experience.
Thank you Dan and Emma for my second trip of a lifetime!
Good morning Dan, hope you are doing well today. I just wanted to send a little note thanking you for all that you did on our trip to Costa Rica last weekend. Since this was my first time in Costa Rica and chartering a fishing trip, so I cannot compare. It was one of the best trips that I have ever been on. Everything that you had set up for us was organized and there was not any confusion. All the accommodations at the hotel were great. There were a few things that Strick was going to mention about the hotel rooms but beside that everyone was really nice to us there. The captains that took us out on the boat were great. You did a wonderful job setting everything up. I think that you did all your homework in getting all this set up for us. I don’t think I have anything negative to say about this trip or with the job that you did setting everything up. If I have anything else I will let you know but all in all it was a great trip. I would definitely come back again if I have the opportunity again. I got a couple of your brochures, so I will pass them along to others that might be interested in going fishing down there.
Thanks and have a safe and wonderful holidays.

Hello Dan, Costa Rica was Great. Adam worked very hard the whole entire time. The first Day was very rough on the seas but Adam did not give up. We caught tuna, 1 sail fish and trash fish. I'm surprise that we caught anything that day. The seas was so bad that day.
2nd day caught lots of tuna and 3 small dorado(that we threw back). We fished on the reef and tried to bottom fishing but no luck. Had something bit once but did not hook him.
3rd day. but trolling for a nice sail or marlin. We hooked 2 sail fish and dorado. WE had a blast and will try to return back to Costa Rica soon.
I will send pics as soon as I can. We are leaving on a cruise so it will be the first of August but I will send you pics.
Thanks, Loved the fishing,
Adam, John and Trena
"My friend and I were hoping to go on a fishing trip of a lifetime (in Costa Rica) and with Dan's help that's exactly what we had! With his contacts and knowledge of the country, Dan helped us to customize a trip that not only met our expectations, but exceeding them by leaps and bounds! I would recommend Dan to anyone thinking of planning a fishing in Costa Rica."

Hello Dan,
Just got back from Costa and we had a great trip. You were VERY helpful in putting us in touch and insuring a pleasant arrangement for fishing with our group. We had a pretty good outing with Don. Did not have any success in regards to catching fish, they just weren't there. In my opinion, Capt Don and his Mate did everything possible to put us on the fish and they did a great job keeping the excitement up throughout the day. The boat was clean and orderly and is was a great experience. Wish we could have seen some of the fish Costa is most famous for, maybe next time. Thank you again for all of your help and I will talk to you before traveling there next time as well.
“We used Dan Ross to book our fishing trip in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. Dan had things organized and gave us a complete itinerary of our stay in Costa Rica. Being in wheelchairs where it would have tough to get to the boat, Dan met us in Tamarindo and made sure we had transportation to our boat every day, driving us to the launching point. He also drove us each night to restaurants as both he and his family joined us for the week (his wife Emma is the nicest lady you would ever meet). The fishing in Tamarindo (we were there for the last part of January 2008) was amazing. We landed 4 Marlin, 3 Sailfish and tons of Dorado. Our trip was topped off on the last day of fishing by fighting a 500+ Black Marlin. Overall, could not ask for a better fishing experience. Thank you Dan”

Dan,
Big fun in Costa Rica, it sure is hard getting back to work in Michigan. I do not think my head will be the same after seeing Costa Rica and Sport Fishing in the Ocean. My Pop and I had an awesome time. I planned the trip to be a relaxing vacation. The trip turned into one of the top 2 or 3 adventures I have ever had. I am a big game hunter. Or, rather, I was. I now consider myself a Big Game Sport Fisherman. Boys, if you are looking for Big Fun go to Costa Rica with Dan Ross and see the giant dancing sailfish. It turns out that everything in the ocean likes to jump out. We had fun just watching all the action on our fishing trips each day. Dan Ross knows all the Fishy boats in the area and he is friends with all the best captains. The deck hands turn into friends in no time. My new pal, Marlone, was the hit of the trip. We fished out of Los Suenos and Quepos. Both areas provided great action. Our adventure was a crescendo of action packed ridiculous excitement and beauty. We had 9 sails with 2 doubles on the last day. My Pop pulled a monster Roosterfish one day and I was able to catch a Dorado. Dan Ross loves to fish. He helped hook-up the two doubles for us. Dan Ross even has connections with the Resort kitchen as they were happy to grill that tasty Mahi Mahi for our dinner. If you are considering an adventure give Dan a call. I have hunted with Outfitters in Newfoundland, Montana, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Texas. Dan is the best. Absolute personal service. Dan even drove us to the grocery store after fishing and arranged transportation to and from the airport. His beautiful wife, Emma, personally welcomed us at the airport. That really helped reduce the initial anxiety. Emma organized a tour on our day off. We hiked the Manuel Antonio National Park with a local guide. Dan-the-man drove us down. We had a great lunch afterwards on the beach at a local street vendor. The BBQ was tasty - along with the Cohiba Habanas. It turns out that Costa Rica is as easy to enter as Canada. The country was as beautiful and rugged as the mountains of Scotland. The beach right at the resort and the others we visited are what I imagined a tropical paradise to be. The Ticos and Ticas are friendly and the food is great. We stayed at the best hotel in Playa Jaco at the Morgan's Cove / Hard Rock Resort. The employees became our friends within hours and the owner takes a personal interest in his guests. Having to wake up and fish in paradise all day is tough work. My Pop and I watched the sun set and the waves crash on the beach. All while we sat at the open air hotel bar. We drank ice cold Imperial beer and ate giant grilled local shrimp. It was a great way to end each day while we talked about the giant happy dancing sails at the party.
Boys, I'm starting to stock-pile cash already - because I'm going back.
