Fish Species Caught in Costa Rica

On the Pacific side of Costa Rica, it's common to release a dozen or more sails and even a marlin or two in a single day of fishing, and it’s not unusual to release more than 30 sailfish a day too. There are also giant yellow fin tuna, wahoo, cubera, roosterfish, a variety of snapper, grouper, blue runners, rainbow runners, snook and much more. You can also watch the dolphin while out on the water. Costa Rica fishing Captains release all billfish so the future of the resource is assured for generations to come.
